The Capel Shire Mens Shed is situated in Boyanup at the RAIL HERITAGE MUSEUM site in Turner Street – the home of the 100 year old steam train LeschenaultLady that is currently being restored by rail heritage volunteers.Presently the shed is usually open twice a week, depending on personnel and current projects time and days of opening may alter during the year.
Click here for present open times. Our men’s shed site has a shed equipped with wood working machines and tools and has a separate shed for metal work and mechanical work. Our workshops are presently equipped with basic equipment and tools, regularly being added to and updated as we are always looking at ways to improve them. Our aim is to provide a relaxing atmosphere to tinker and talk and we have morning tea and lunch facilities located in the wood working area. Although most of our members are seniors we welcome males of all ages. There is minimal cost to become a member and membership is renewable on annual basis. People can visit our shed at any time to see what we do and maybe have a chat and cuppa [at no cost of course]. |
